Jaal

Jaal- In post-production is a collaborative short film project from Bangladesh, supported by the University of Hertfordshire (UK).

One strange fish unites a fractured village in a celebration of hope - until greed and violence shatter the spell, leaving a fisherman to rebuild from the ashes.

The story “Jaal” resolves around magic realism, illustrating long-standing superstitions in rural Bengali communities, instinctive survival, and the interconnection between humans and the natural world.
